While there are many Korean dramas available to stream, Miss Day And Night, which tops the Netflix charts in South Korea for almost all episodes, is an excellent choice.
Although the plot revolves around a main character who switches personality, which is not groundbreaking, Miss Day And Night is still interesting. The show blends humour and romance with suspense and investigation.
Miss Day And Night follows the story of Lee Mi-jin (Jung Eun-ji), a 28-year-old woman struggling to pass an exam to become a government official. One day, Lee wakes up and suddenly transforms into a 50-something. She can only return to her younger self after sunset.
To survive, Lee uses the identity of her aunt Lim Soon who has been mysteriously missing for decades. As Lim Soon, Lee successfully gets a job as an intern at a district prosecutor's office.
In the town, several women were brutally murdered and Gye Ji-woong (Choi Jin-hyk), the prosecutor, believes the serial killer is involved with the disappearance of his mother. Lee has a chance to work with Gye to investigate the case.
Lee Jung-eun who plays Lim Soon is the most outstanding cast member. Her energetic movements and lively expressions make her appear to have a young spirit inside. Jung Eun-ji does fantastic job of portraying the frustration of not being able to tell anyone that she is Lee. Moreover, most viewers probably will not guess the killer.
Miss Day And Night is streaming now on Netflix.
