A new world-class magic show, "Illusions Theatre", is waiting to entertain guests at the newly-opened Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort six nights a week.

There are two shows each night from Monday to Saturday -- a 7pm show for the whole family, and a 9pm show for adults only -- lasting an hour with a 15-minute interval, in the purpose-built 71-seat air-conditioned theatre within the resort.

According to resident magician Ed Clarke, the 7pm family experience combines a perfect balance of visual magic, mind reading and illusions that the entire family will enjoy.

Restricted for ages 15 years and above, the 9pm show will feature amazing illusions and captivating feats of mind reading to spark the audiences' imagination and leave them in a sense of awe.

"We strive to make sure all attendees have a great time, which is why we choose not to make anyone feel foolish or embarrassed," says Clarke.

In a first for Koh Samui, the close-up magic is performed live on stage centimetres in front of spectators. The theatre is equipped with two 190cm high-definition screens so that the audience can enjoy the same experience as spectators who have been invited to participate in the magic on stage.

Guests can enjoy pre-theatre dining and drinks at the resort's Edgewater Beach Club restaurant and bar, a beautiful beachside setting under the coconut palms. Pre-dinner and interval drinks are available at the Illusions Theatre venue.

Tucked away on the tranquil shores of Lamai Beach, the Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort is an elegant, colonial-style resort featuring 146 spacious rooms and suites all with a private balcony or garden terrace. The renovated accommodations fuse old-world romantic charm with contemporary styling.

Tickets cost 1,200 baht per person and can be booked on IllusionsKohSamui.com.
