PMT The Hour Glass recently hosted a celebration for its 15th anniversary at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where exclusive limited edition timepieces from Hublot, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, MB & F and Urwerk were on display.

Beginning in 2008, Narun Thamavaranukup and Michael Tay, both from families with a long history in the speciality watch industry, teamed up to form PMT The Hour Glass and expand its reach beyond Southeast Asia.

In the largest cities of Thailand and Vietnam, PMT The Hour Glass has grown from two boutiques to more than 15 locations, all of which are devoted to Rolex, Patek Philippe, Hublot and Tudor. In 2018, the company was appointed to manage Patek Philippe's Bangkok flagship boutique at Iconsiam and Rolex's leading retailer to operate the Rolex Central Embassy Bangkok boutique, and four Rolex showrooms in Bangkok and Phuket.

Managing director Narun Thamavaranukup said: "The journey of PMT The Hour Glass began with a desire to enrich people's lives with passion by the advancement of watch culture in Thailand. We have focused on delivering the best of contemporary watchmaking to enthusiasts and collectors in Thailand -- an already highly sophisticated market. With the celebration of our 15th anniversary, we felt it was an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and share some of these treasured memories with all our partners and clients."

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang 5-Day Power Reserve Carbon Green Camo chronograph, with its classic tonneau-shaped model covered in green camouflage, was one of the highlights. Its design represented a challenging voyage from the Swiss Alps to the vivid tropical jungles of Southeast Asia. This 30-piece limited edition furthers their joint goal of popularising the "Art of Fusion" among watch collectors and enthusiasts.

The 50-piece limited edition Ulysse Nardin Freak x Enamel Blue watch combines traditional métiers d'art and cutting-edge technology and in-house know-how maintained by the brand's craftsmen. The novelty's hour disc is first treated by the guilloché technique to give the dial a modern touch. Then comes enamelling, a decorative technique that has been perpetuated and passed down through generations of artisans.

Ulysse Nardin is once again contributing to the history, present and future of Haute Horlogerie as the expertise and mastery of ancient métiers d'art meld with the Freak's innovative and disruptive emblems and codes.
