Warin Lab Contemporary is holding "Second Life", a collaborative exhibition that breathes a new life to retired artwork, until Oct 10.

On showcase is an installation by textile artist Jarupatcha Achavasmit who took the artwork from last year's photographic exhibition, "Chronicle Of The Landscape" by Sakarin Krue-On, onto her loom and weaved into it a new life.
With her talent for integrating shards into shapes, she deconstructed exhibit materials and reconstructed them anew. The materials include large-size printed canvases of Sakarin's high-resolution photographs that depict the landscape of Ratchaburi province.
With every strand that constitutes a whole weave, her approach tends to focus on small-scale details, and then proceed to arrange their placement into a big picture. For her, every whole comprises a multitude of fragments. She witnesses their delineation and materiality and adopts them by interlacing and reinvigorating them with her creativity. With "to weave is to bond" as her motto, every intersecting stripe and strand are exposed to one another and eventually married into a complete tapestry of recital.
The exhibition can be regarded as an enterprise that had undergone a rite of passage. Jarupatcha continued Sakarin's legacy by interacting and reinterpreting in both material and conceptual states.
She took the first life to then transitioned into a second one. Imbued with the tenacity to live a life again, "Second Life" is a reanimation of its preceding cycle, a rightfully remarkable life of its own.
Warin Lab Contemporary is located at OP Garden, Charoen Krung 36, and opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 7.30pm.
