Durian lovers have until June 23 to enjoy a variety of durian served in Japanese omakase style at Em Market, ground floor of Emsphere, Sukhumvit Road.

Held as part of Gourmet Fruit First festival, the exclusive Durian Omakase is the first of its kind in Thailand which brings premium grade selections of the King of Fruits from across the country. They are presented in an 11-course omakase, priced at 1,290 baht per person.

The first six courses feature six durian species -- nok yib from Chanthaburi which has become popular again; mon thong Pa La U from Prachuap Khiri Khan; salika from Phangnga; ochee (nam dam or black spikes) from Yala; musang king from Chanthaburi and Yala; and puang manee from Chanthaburi.

The other five courses include creative dishes such as a cheesecake made from nok yib durian; a mille-feuille made from many layers of puff pastry, French butter and kan yao durian; mangosteen-lychee sorbet presented as a refreshing break with its sour-sweet flavours; durian sticky rice mousse made from puang manee durian; and finally Golden Durian featuring premium grade durian adorned with food-grade fold flakes and served with Oolong tea.

The delicious experience is open with four time slots daily from 11.30am to 1pm, 1.30pm to 3pm, 4pm to 5.30pm and 6pm to 7.30pm. Places are limited to 10 persons per round. Reservations can be made via bit.ly/3Vk1ojP.
