Once consumer electronics and home appliances are connected together on the wireless internet, everything in life become easier, faster and better.

The next generation air conditioner designed with an artistic sense can save up to 60% with its smart invertor and 90% on zero standby power.

You can remotely set the on/off mode of the air conditioner at home with your smartphone or tablet, or search for cool applications, music, TV shows or games for your Blu-ray or 3D TV. Samsung is already offering consumers these experiences with its "Smarter Life" concept.

The context of Samsung's unifying principle, "Smarter Life", comprises three pillars: Smart Design, Smart Experiences, and Smart Connections.

Speaking at the Samsung Forum 2011 in Singapore recently, Stanley Goh, Samsung's regional director of trade marketing, noted that Smart Design means intuitive design that increases functionality for consumers; Smart Experiences provides a wide variety of applications and games on as many platforms as possible using bright and dynamic display technologies; and Smart Connections allows devices to automatically connect to each other, share content and enhance users' experiences.

The living room has continued its transformation into the central media and entertainment hub of the home - and the television is becoming the centrepiece of technology in the room. Samsung has simplified its product features to create a connected, intuitive TV experience. LED and Plasma TVs feature the convenience of Samsung's Smart Hub, a simple menu system that can be used to connect, discover and enjoy a wide range of content. Users can easily search for movies, TV programmes and videos via online services and across connected devices; browse the Web from their TVs; and access a wide variety of apps from Samsung Apps, which is the world's first application store for the television. Samsung's 2011 televisions - above the LED D5500 series and PDP D6900 - offer Smart TV features.

This stylish home theatre system combines Blu-ray integration and wireless features.

The company has realigned its home theatre systems to better reflect a diverse home entertainment environment. Many Samsung home entertainment products support 2D-to-3D and wireless features with superior sound quality to complement the breadth of available content.

The 2011 Forum showcased the chic, waterdrop-shaped speakers featured with the HT-D7500W Blu-ray player, enabling a complete, home entertainment ecosystem that is both modern and attractive while also supporting smart features.

Samsung's new wireless router allows consumers to get the most out of their TVs and other devices. The CY-SWR1100 can establish a Wi-Fi connection to Samsung 2011 TVs and other compatible devices when the router is placed within 30cm of the TV or device. Once connected, the router can be moved to any part of the home while still maintaining a connection - allowing users to easily access the expanded entertainment options on their devices without the need for additional cords.

According to Samsung, 2011 is the year of smart mobile devices, and the company has broadened the horizon of mobile devices by expanding the network to connect your office to your home.

Samsung showcased the Galaxy S II, which it claims to be the world's thinnest (8.49mm) lightweight smartphone. The phone's dual-core application processor delivers compelling features such as fast web browsing, multitasking comparable to a PC-like environment, and an instant responsive 3D user interface on its large screen. It has been equipped with Samsung's new crystal-clear Super Amoled Plus screen, the most advanced mobile visual display that does not compromise battery performance. A significant reduction in power consumption from the Super Amoled display means it is also more energy-efficient than other comparably-sized devices, allowing Samsung to minimise device weight.

The HMX-Q10 camcorder offers the world’s first Switch Grip function, featuring a smart LCD screen that can flip images. You can hold it with whichever hand is more comfortable and it allows you to capture videos from the best vantage point.

Claiming the title of best Android tablet, Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a powerful dual-core Android 3.0 smart media device that is just 10.9mm thick and weighs a mere 599g. With the Android browser and Flash, the Tab allows users to experience internet content on the go. Boasting a 10.1-inch screen and dual surround-sound speakers, the Tab enables users to enjoy multimedia functions without having to compromise mobility. Its 8megapixel AF rear-facing and 2 megapixel front-facing cameras enable users to capture video with full HD recording capabilities.

Shooting a photo with a digital camera - which, of course, offers better quality than a mobile phone - has also become easier, and it's now faster to share pictures with your friends and family over the internet, including social networks. You can also email directly from the Samsung SH100 camera via its built-in Wi-Fi.

You can also record HD video and share your favourite moments over social networking sites like YouTube. To make the upload process of these larger files easier and quicker, the SH100 includes an account with mobile hotspot provider Boingo, giving you access to hundreds of thousands of Wi-Fi spots worldwide.

With 14.2 mega-pixel resolution and a 26mm wide angle lens with 5X optical zoom, the SH100 is also equipped with the latest Smart Touch 3.0 display, enabling users to drag, click and control "app-style" icons, easily flip through photos, and control a range of the camera's features quickly and intuitively. The Wi-Fi capability on the camera allows you to use a Galaxy smartphone as a remote control and viewing device for your camera.

Boasting a large 10.1-inch screen and dual surroundsound speakers, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 enables users to enjoy multimedia functions on the go.

The Androidbased Galaxy S II delivers rich catalogues of books and magazines, music and games, as well as control of consumers’ online social life.

NaviBot, a super-silent robot cleaner with sleek design comes with the Visionary Mapping system, seven kinds of cleaning modes, a virtual guard, plus protective and safety sensors with touch control.

The D7500 is the world’s slimmest Bluray disc player, offering sleek functionality in a space-saving, wallmountable package.

Wi-Fi enabled camera allows you to upload your pictures instantly on to your social networking sites or to email them to friends straight from the camera.
