Sukosol Bangkok Hotel is hosting the "Vichienket Family Sculpture Exhibition 2013" which showcases a collection of amazing artworks by Thailand's leading artist family, the Vichienkets.
On display will be 70 contemporary large- and small-scale bronze sculptures and paintings honouring the philosophy that unity and harmony are the means to achieving lifelong peace.
The works were created by celebrated Thai sculptor and national artist Chamruang Vichienket, his wife and distinguished sculptress Saovapa, and their sons - Yannapol, a fellow sculptor, and Nithi and Nathee, both painters.
Part of the proceeds from sales of the art pieces will be donated to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the royal patronage of HM the Queen and the Art Learning Centre of Baan Silpagam Vichienket.
The Vichienket Family Sculpture Exhibition will be on show daily from10 am to 8 pm from March 2 to 17 at the City Gallery, 2nd level of the Garden Pavilion, Sukosol Bangkok Hotel (former Siam City Hotel) on Si Ayutthaya Road. Call 02-247-0123 ext 1912 or 1916—8.
