Understanding royal lifestyles

In memory of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Prajadhipok Museum on Lan Luang Road presents the “Heartwarming Royal Stays At Klai Kangwon Palace” special exhibition through the end of May.

The exhibit tells the story of how Klai Kangwon Palace in Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan, served as the summer palace of King Rama VII and Queen Rambhai Barni as well as the late King Bhumibol. The palace served as the late king’s vacation home and also his office to carry out his royal duties and many royal projects.

Featuring old documents, photos and royal belongings, the exhibition highlights details of the two former kings’ daily routines and royal tasks done at this palace. The aim is to encourage the general public to learn about the monarchs’ decent and simple lives and follow in their footsteps.

King Prajadhipok Museum is open 9am-4pm from Tuesdays to Sundays. Admission is free. Call 02-280-3413/4 ext 111 or 105.
