Ed Sheeran comes to town

British superstar Ed Sheeran will debut in Bangkok at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Nov 16.

Presented by AEG Presents and BEC-Tero Entertainment, Thai fans will be able to get up, close and personal with the singer/songwriter/guitarist who performs Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill, which have taken the world by storm, hitting the first and second spots across the charts worldwide.

The smash hits are from his third album, ÷, which was released three months ago. It debuted at No.1 in the UK and topped the charts in 14 countries.

The acoustic pop star from Suffolk won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act in 2012 following the release of his debut album, +, in 2011. The album has been certified seven-times platinum in the UK.

Three years later, his second album, x, peaked at No.1 in the UK and US. In 2015, it won the Brit Award for Album of the Year and he received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year.

The 26-year-old artist performed at the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II concert held on The Mall outside Buckingham Palace in June, 2012 and two months later he played a cover of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here at the London Olympics' closing ceremony.

In 2015, he performed three consecutive sold-out shows at London's Wembley Stadium, becoming the first-ever artist to headline the prestigious venue without a band — but with just his trademark loop pedal and guitar.

Ticket prices start from 1,800 baht and will be available from 14 selected branches of Thai Ticket Major and www.thaiticketmajor.com from Saturday at 10am. Reservations can be made through 02-262-3838 from Sunday.
