The Mardi Gras Carnival is coming to Paradise Park.
To celebrate its second anniversary, the shopping mall is holding an extravaganza called the "Paradise Park 2nd Anniversary" from Thursday to Sunday, September 23.
Held under the "Experiencing the Happy Festival" concept, the celebrations will include the Thailand debut of Brazil's famous carnival.
The show is globally renowned for its fun music and the rhythm of the samba dance by professional performers clad in sexy carnival costumes. They will be performing on Thursday at 8pm and daily at 3pm from Friday to Sunday.
Another highlight is a presentation of the "Medusa Eye" _ world's only diamond mask _ worth more than 300 million baht. Inspired by the power of Medusa's eyes, the mask is decorated with the priceless Blue Poseidon, an unheated gem from Myanmar (42.84 carats); Diana, an oval-shaped diamond (15.30 carats); plus several other diamonds and gems weighing almost 100 carats.
It was designed by Chuchai Chairitlert of C2 by Chuchai and created specially for this anniversary celebration. It will be presented on Thursday at 5.30pm by sexy superstar Patcharapa 'Aum' Chaichue, the only lucky lady to get the opportunity to wear this glittering mask.
Besides the celebratory atmosphere and Brazilian carnival caravan both inside and outside the shopping centre, there will be a host of fun activities throughout the four-day event. Visitors are invited to sample the country's largest chocolate fountain, to be on show at the Paradise Candy zone.
There will also be a trendy mask-making workshop for children at the Edutainment zone, a mix-and-match activity with hot fashion trends at the Fashion zone, a make-up session by professional make-up artists at the Beauty zone, an iPhone case-making session at the IT zone, and a cupcake workshop by Ajarn Yingsak Jonglertjessadawong at the Food zone.
At 7pm each day, there will be a free concert by famous acts, including Oaf-Pongsak, ETC, Chin-Chinwuth, Christina Aguilar, Vie Trio and many more. The "Paradise Park 2nd Anniversary" opening ceremony is on Thursday at 5.30pm at the Royal Park Plaza, 1st floor.
