To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Pathum Thani, Future Park invites everyone to go back in time to explore the province’s glory during the “Red Cross Fair and Pathum Thani’s Finest Products 2014” festival which will run for 10 days starting this Friday.

There is a chance to learn about the culture, tradition and way of life of the people living in the north of Bangkok from “The Legend of Pathum Thani”, exhibition which will showcase numerous historical and valuable items.

Among them will be 100-year-old Sam Koke earthen jars, which are the prototypes of the renowned export products of Sam Koke district, 300-year-old palm pots formerly used to contain sugar, 300-year-old Songkran bowls used to keep traditional Thai rice dish khao chae for the elderly, and 300-year-old bricks famous for their strength and durability.

Visitors will also learn more about the province’s cultural tourist attractions such as the riverside Rahaeng market reputed for its old wooden shop houses, leading educational institutions and museums.

As well as the sale of quality Otop products from the province, there will also be a cooking demonstration featuring many palm recipes such as curries, spicy salads, cake and juice. It will take place every Friday to Sunday from 3pm to 4pm.

Red Cross raffles are also available and artists from The Star 10 will perform in a mini concert on May 22 starting at 7pm.

The fair will wrap up on May 25.
