Official description

Pattaya City will once more light up the sky over its famous beach this weekend.

Organised in collaboration with Thai Life Insurance, Chon Buri Provincial Administration and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the "Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2013" will be held at Central Pattaya Beach, Chon Buri, on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 11pm.

The annual festival's highlight will be a fireworks display set to lights and music from Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and Switzerland. The 45-minute show, presented under the theme "Rhythm _ Sparking Your Life With Music", can be seen from North Pattaya and South Pattaya beach.

Fireworks in the shape of music notes will reflect on the water, creating a blue aura over Pattaya Bay.

The two-day festival will also feature many entertaining activities along the beach, including a carnival-style parade at 6.30pm and concerts by famous artists such as Room 39 and Lipta on Friday and Keng Thachaya, King Pichet and New & Jiew on Saturday.

There is no admission fee. Call 02-572-4444.
