A biographical exhibition of the King

Siam Paragon invites Thai people to learn the most valuable stories of Thai history and the profound benevolence of HM the King during the “Our Beloved Great King” exhibition at the Lifestyle Hall, 2nd floor of Siam Paragon, Rama I, from Dec 5-18.

Held in collaboration with the Queen Savang Vadhana Foundation with the aim to express our gratitude and appreciation to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the exhibition will portray the King’s noble demeanour and royal duties as well as his happy childhood inside the vast compound of Sra Pathum Palace, known as his first family home in Thailand.

The exhibition is divided into four parts. The first part is titled “First Royal Residence” and will recount the King’s biography from 1928-1933 at Phra Tamnak Mai (New Mansion) at Sra Pathum Palace, where he spent his childhood, while the second part, “Royal Activities”, will conjure up his lifelong works and devotion to the inclusive benefits of Thais and global citizens.

The third part, “Worldwide Praise”, will depict the heartfelt appreciation of all Thais nationwide and the global community, and the last part, “Royal Guidance”, will bring together the King’s remarks and teachings.

To enhance the experience of viewers, holograms of the King’s toy cart from childhood, numerous awards and national and overseas decorations will be on display. The Queen Savang Vadhana Foundation will give away 9,999 postcards depicting portraits of the King. The exhibition will then move to the Queen Savang Vadhana Museum at Sra Pathum Palace from Dec 19 to March 31, 2017. The museum is open every day except Sundays, with an admission fee of 150 baht (50 baht for students).

There is no admission fee to the exhibition at Siam Paragon. Call 02-610-8000.
